- Attend and exhibit at travel trade shows (WTM, ATTA, Discover Africa, PURE, etc.)
- Meet with travel agents & tour operators on a one to one basis - both those whom you have a pre-existing relationship and those whom with you have no current relationship
- Represent you within the industry – travel industry road shows, conferences, etc.
- Develop and organize agent/tour operator fam trips
- Communicate with agents & tour operators on a regular basis to assist them in "closing" sales with clients
- Create, execute and distribute comprehensive marketing materials (including brochure, property sales sheets, website, client mailings, etc.)
- Create, execute and distribute electronic newsletters and bulletins - sent to all agents, operators, individuals and press
- Conduct educational & marketing webinars that are offered to all agents, operators, individuals and press
- Assist agents and tour operators with development of their marketing materials which represent you.
- Create and execute print advertisements and trade show materials
- Liaise with public relations agency
- Meet and conduct interviews with media (radio, television and print) as required
- Participate in public speaking engagements at events and key trades shows
- Distribute regular press releases to trade and travel media in conjunction with PR agency
- Develop key relationships within the industry
- Do annual comprehensive reporting based on information provided (bednights, revenue, comparative analysis, top clients review)
- Do annual industry reporting (analysis of year, forecast for year ahead, trends, etc.)
